Winds of Exodus is built around collaborative roleplay. Conflict, rivalry and hostility belong between characters — not between the people playing them.

Treat other players with respect.

You do not need to like every character, storyline or player. You are expected to interact with the community in good faith.

Respect Other Players

Harassment, bullying, discrimination, hate speech, targeted hostility and sustained abusive behaviour toward other players are not permitted. Disagreements happen, but personal attacks, intimidation, dogpiling or deliberately creating a hostile environment for another player are not acceptable ways to resolve them. IC conflict does not justify OOC hostility.

Keep IC and OOC Separate

What happens between characters stays between characters. Do not use IC actions to punish someone for an OOC disagreement, and do not turn an IC conflict into hostility toward the player behind the character. Likewise, friendships, relationships or disagreements between players should not determine how unrelated IC situations are resolved.

Characters can be enemies. Players do not need to become enemies with them.

Community Spaces

The same standards of conduct apply across Winds of Exodus community spaces, including the game, Discord, tickets and other official server channels. Keep discussions in the appropriate places and do not use public channels to continue personal disputes, pressure other players or argue ongoing Staff cases. If a situation requires Staff involvement, use the appropriate ticket or reporting system.

Staff Interactions

Staff members may participate in the server as ordinary players. When they are not acting in an official capacity, they are subject to the same rules and boundaries as everyone else. Do not use OOC pressure, personal relationships or repeated contact with individual Staff members to influence a report, ruling or server decision. Staff members likewise may not use their permissions, access or position to benefit their own characters or groups.

Good-Faith Participation

No rules document can anticipate every interaction, mechanic or edge case. Players are expected to follow both the wording and the clear purpose of the rules. Finding a technical loophole does not make behaviour acceptable when its purpose is to bypass a restriction, gain an unfair advantage or undermine another player's ability to participate.

When a genuinely unforeseen situation occurs, Staff may determine how existing rules apply and clarify the rules for future cases.

<aside>

The rules exist to protect roleplay, not to win arguments about the rules.
