FROM SURVIVORS TO SOVEREIGNS

A refuge is not a kingdom.

New Hope offers land on which to survive, but no established nation stands ready to decide what its people should become. Every settlement, alliance and political ambition begins with the survivors themselves.

The future of New Hope will be shaped by those willing to build it.

AT LAUNCH There are no player Factions. Upper Sepermeru is the first established Hub, a neutral refuge that no Faction can claim. Additional Hubs and Faction opportunities will become available as the server and its stories develop.

CLANS — MORE THAN SURVIVAL

Every settlement begins somewhere.

A handful of survivors sharing shelter. A company of mercenaries. A merchant household, a religious order, a band of outlaws—or simply people who have decided their chances are better together.

Clans are the foundations of player communities. They have their own identity, leadership, ambitions and place in the world.

Some will remain independent. Others may eventually become part of something larger.

FACTIONS — WHEN AMBITIONS GROW

A Faction is an alliance of independent Clans united by a larger purpose.

It might become a kingdom, a merchant league, a military coalition, a tribal confederation or something New Hope has never seen before. The structure and politics are created through roleplay by the Clans involved, not handed to them by Staff.

Each member Clan retains its own identity and leadership. The alliance may prosper, fracture or transform as the people within it make choices.

A banner does not make a nation. The people beneath it do.

HUBS — A WORLD TO SHAPE

As the server develops, new Hub Regions may become centers of settlement, commerce and political influence.

Factions may eventually contest control of those regions, establish laws and relationships through roleplay, and negotiate with the independent Clans living there.

But political influence is IC, not OOC ownership. Controlling a Hub does not mean controlling every character, settlement or player within it.
